Triple Glazing Units

Triple Glazing Units

Three-pane sealed insulating glass units delivering U-values from 0.7 W/m²K — Passive House standard and premium residential specification.

Triple Glazing Units from Trent Glass consist of three glass panes separated by two argon-filled cavities, delivering thermal performance approximately 40% better than standard double glazing. This is the specification for Passive House (Passivhaus) certified buildings and premium residential projects targeting exceptional energy efficiency.

Assembled with warm-edge spacers and soft-coat Low-E on two surfaces (typically #3 and #5), triple-glazed units achieve U-values down to 0.6 W/m²K with matched acoustic and safety configurations available on request.

Key Features

  • Passivhaus Compliant — U-values from 0.6–0.8 W/m²K
  • Superior Acoustic — Rw up to 45 dB with mixed pane thicknesses
  • Reduced Condensation Risk — Warm inner surface temperatures
  • Two Low-E Coatings — On surfaces #3 and #5 for optimal thermal balance
  • Argon-Filled Cavities — Both cavities gas-filled per EN 1279-3
  • Comfort Improvement — Eliminates cold-radiation from window surface

Ideal Applications

  • Passivhaus certified residential
  • Ultra-low-energy commercial buildings
  • North-facing elevations
  • Premium residential (thermal comfort priority)
  • Buildings in cold-climate regions
  • Retrofit projects with heat pump systems
