Structural glass balustrades — frameless, top-rail, or post-and-rail systems for staircases, balconies, terraces and pool surrounds. Tested to UK Building Regulations Part K loading and BS 6180.

Trent Glass Glass Balustrades are structural toughened laminated safety glass barriers designed and certified for loading to BS 6180 — the UK code for barriers in buildings. Available as frameless (channel-mount), top-rail (stainless or aluminium), or post-and-clamp systems. Each project quoted to your loading category: domestic, commercial or public access.

Key Features

  • Glass: 17.5 mm or 21.5 mm toughened laminated safety glass
  • Mounting: floor channel (frameless), stainless top rail, or post-and-clamp
  • Heat-soaked to BS EN 14179 — nickel-sulphide inclusion eliminated
  • Loading: tested to BS 6180 domestic (0.36 kN/m), commercial (0.74 kN/m) and crowded (3.0 kN/m)
  • Hardware: 316 stainless steel; satin or mirror polished
  • Edge: polished and arrissed; can be tinted, frosted, or printed
