Decorative Wired Glass

Decorative Wired Glass

Tempered laminated glass with bespoke decorative interlayers — woven metal mesh, natural silk fabric, or custom motifs printed onto the interlayer film. Safety-rated, fully bespoke patterns from sketches or CAD drawings.

Trent Glass Decorative Wired Glass is a sandwich construction of two tempered glass panels bonded with a structural interlayer that holds a decorative element in suspension between the two panes. The result is a safety-rated architectural glass with a unique visual character: woven copper or stainless steel mesh, raw silk fabric, paper, fine grasses, or custom-printed patterns appear permanently embedded between the layers, lit from both sides by transmitted light. Each panel is fully bespoke — supply us a sketch, a CAD drawing, or a fabric sample, and we’ll build the panel to match.

Standard applications include foyer screens, hotel reception walls, restaurant feature dividers, listed-building interior glazing, and high-end residential entryways where the visual character of the partition matters as much as its function. Because the panel is tempered + laminated, it qualifies as Class 1B(1) safety glass per BS EN 12600 and can be used in doors, partitions, and high-traffic public spaces where pure decorative glazing would not be permitted.

Key Features

Bespoke Interlayer Patterns

Woven metal mesh (copper, brass, stainless steel), silk and linen fabrics, washi paper, dried plants, custom-printed films, or any flat decorative material that can be sealed at moderate heat.

Tempered + Laminated Construction

Two tempered glass panes bonded with EVA or PVB interlayer for structural strength and safety break behaviour.

Safety-Rated

Compliant with EN 12150 (toughened) and EN 14449 (laminated). Class 1B(1) impact rating to BS EN 12600.

Custom Pattern from Drawings

Submit a sketch, CAD file, or fabric swatch and we’ll produce the matching panel; suitable for repeat production runs and one-off feature pieces.

Long-Term Stability

Sealed lamination prevents the decorative interlayer from yellowing, oxidising, or shifting over time, even in humid environments.

Aluminium Frame Finish Options

The supporting framework is fabricated from 6000-series aluminium alloy profiles, providing a refined finish, dimensional stability, and a corrosion-resistant surface that resists oxidation for long-term indoor and semi-exposed use. Each frame is supplied in one of four standard finishes:

Brushed Gold  ·  Fluorocarbon Black  ·  Silver Grey  ·  Fluorocarbon White
