Full Description

Toughened glass, also known as tempered glass, is manufactured through a controlled thermal tempering process. Each panel is heated to around 620°C and rapidly air-quenched to create a high-compression surface layer, resulting in superior strength, durability and safety for high-traffic and structural environments.

Before tempering, the glass is cut and shaped in its annealed state. Using advanced CNC machinery and water-jet systems, we produce highly accurate custom shapes including curves, irregular profiles, notches, hardware cut-outs and internal detailing. Edge finishing options such as polished, bevelled and arrissed ensure a clean architectural appearance.

Our toughened glass complies fully with EN 12150, which governs surface stress levels, dimensional tolerances and safe fragmentation behaviour. It also achieves BS 6206 Class A impact rating, making it suitable for doors, balustrades, shopfronts, shower screens, partitions and other safety-critical installations.
